For the past twenty years, I have visited nurseries across London, Surrey, and Kent, with most nurseries booking me once a year. I work within the children’s familiar nursery environment, which helps them feel comfortable and confident during their ceramic painting sessions.
I offer babies and children the opportunity to paint ceramics using safe, washable ceramic paints. With babies and younger children, I create keepsakes by adding their name along with handprints or footprints. With older children, I still include their name and handprint, but I also encourage creativity by allowing them to paint their own ceramic items using sponges. I always aim for each session to be fun and relaxed. With many years of experience working with pre-school children, I am usually able to encourage even the most reluctant children to take part and enjoy the activity.
Once the ceramics are painted, I take them away and hand-paint each child’s name and the date. If the item is a gift, a short personal message of up to seven words can also be added for a small additional cost. The ceramics are then professionally glazed and fired before being returned to the nursery as a lasting keepsake to treasure forever. Finished orders are usually returned within two weeks.
You should have received an order form from the nursery. If you would like to place an order, you will need to fill in the form and return it to the nursery office. I will still require a filled in form, even if you place your order on the website. If you wish to have a message painted onto the ceramics, please add that to your form. The child’s name and date is already included in the price.
